Section newsletter
Dear Statistical Ecology Section members:
I am starting to put together the next issue of the section newsletter which
will be published in the Bulletin of the Ecological Society in July. The
Bulletin requires that all materials for that issue be submitted in early
April. I need your help in providing information of interest to section
members for this newsletter. I would like to encourage you to send any
relevant items or suggestions on, for example:
- conference and workshop reports
- upcoming meetings
- job announcements
- book reviews
In addition, it would be great if someone wanted to contribute a short
discussion on a relevant statistical/ecological topic. Previous such
contributions included discussions on statistical power by Philip Dixon and
Jay ver Hoef.
Thanks for any input you give me. Please send contributions, preferably by
e-mail, to me at the address shown below. I need items for the next
newsletter by March 31, since I must submit it to the Bulletin editor shortly
thereafter.
