My version of netscape doesn't let me give feedback directly.  So you'll
continue to hear from me at least for the book via e-mail, until I get off my
ass and figure what needs to be done.

Here is the latest update on the synthesis book.  Thanks to those who responded
to my last request for input.  This may be considered another chance to reply.

The information below refers to the outline posted on THE WEB at
http://atlantic.evsc.Virginia.EDU/PI/synthesis/outline.html

I know that I have trouble responding via netscape, so please if you have
problems, contact John or me (BICHRIST@ECUVM.CIS.ECU.EDU) via e-mail or
even by mail of phone (919-328-1835).

I need to take care of this outline and send something to the publisher by
the middle of June.  Therefore, please make whatever comments to me by
June 7!!!  Let's move this thing along.

The main thing that I've done is added some lead authors for chapters and
changed one chapter a little.  Only the changes and additons are shown below.

I.4 Christian will write the intro to this chapter unless someone else volun
teers.

I.5 Who is CR?

II.2 Young will be lead author (Thanks,Don).

II.3 The chapter will also include comparison of bayside and seaside aqautic
systems with Blum as lead author and that for open water.  (Thanks, Linda)

II.4.B Brinson will write the upland section.

III.3.  Erwin will take the lead  (Thanks, Mike)

IV.1  Does anyone have suggestions for the grand synthesis?  Do we want a big
name?  Bruce?  Or as I may be one of the few to read the whole book, should
I do it?
