Just as long as you have not opened the infected version in Microsoft Word,
you can just delete it...... The "concept A" virus is one that only
infects WORD documents so even if you got infected it is not TOO bad (no
erasing of hard drives etc.). A virus-checking program can also eliminate
the virus and restore the file to health.....
There is an excellent source for Shareware software on the WWW. Its address

it includes several virus checkers. My current recommendation is
"Thunderbyte" for Windows 95 machines, but all of them are pretty good.
Randy and I installed Thunderbyte on the LTER lab machine last week...
Hope that helps! If necessary I'll be glad to come up to your office and
kill the virus myself!
