The Old Broadwater Lighthouse on the High Ground of Central Hog Island

The Broadwater lighthouse is long gone to the island erosion. The high ground on which the lighthouse was build is now at sea and this portion of the current island is low (less than 12 feet) and grassy. The high island and the rainwater catchment are now inadequate to support forests like those at the turn of the century.
